Just a simple little video showing some of the things currently possible on the wii such as:

+Running Emulators
+Replacing Virtual Console Roms
+Creating/Removing Custom Channels

In the video I show how easily it is to install/uninstall WAD files as well as run an SNES Emulator from a channel on the Wii Menu.

I've also replaced the Rom in Donkey Kong 2 with Chrono Trigger as well as used the banner file from Bomberman for my custom genesis channel.

  • there IS an easier way to do this...

if you put the WAD INSTALLER in the ELF folder, run your HOMEBREW channel, and select the WAD INSTALLER and it'll install the games. You can avoid like 2 or 3 screens you went to...

  • While you're at it, why not just make a WAD Installer channel? Some people, including myself, have issues with loading things from the front SD when using the homebrew channel. IE. SNES emu will load fine, but then when you attempt to load a game, it dies. The workaround is to use a loader that supports front SD such as WiiHL. That is why I did this, and it allows me to have more then one homebrew that's easily accessable.

  • It goes into the root folder on the SD card.

  • for download all software?

  • The ONLY way to unlock your Wii to play copied and import games, plus DVD's and homebrew WITHOUT a mod chip, is to use:

    nintendo-wii-homebrew-unlock-hack.blogspot(DOT)com

This will work on ANY Wii, even 4.2, and does NOT require Zelda!

  • yes me too but i want Earthbound on SNES

  • just google Homebrew channel and go to their website.

  • if you want to play that just get a SNES emulator on the homebrew channel and do it that way. That's what I did.

  • yea chrono trigger is the game that pwns

  • What goes wrong?
