I mean no offense to you at all- but what you are saying about your friend is completely from a contracepting mindset - which is hostile to the conception of children from an act of intercourse.Couples who use NFP see conception as a natural result of sex-and are not afraid of it. It's joyful- wonderful-exciting... If they don't want to have kids - they can do that with 99% effectiveness. NFP is a freeing feeling-no more fear of fertility-you have to try it to understand.
What is so complicated about NFP for you? You learn the scientific method of discerning when you are fertile- and then abstain if you don't want to have a baby, or engage if you want to have a baby. NFP was studied, used, and designed by doctors who know the human body. It works how the couple wants it to work. If you are open to having kids- you don't follow the rules- if you don't want to- you do follow the rules.Face it, some couples want to have lots of children-that's their choice.
It cracks me up how some Christians believe this stuff works. My friend was using no birth control (i.e. natural family planning) and got pregnant. Then she said "God had a plan".
I told her the very high pregnancy risks of this supposed method and she said "Yes if you use it incorrectly." It's like, you're pregnant, how correctly were you using it.
Saying God wanted that to happen is like rolling the dice and saying God wanted you to lose.
I think that people need to stop having so many children. I think that in this day in age people should only have 1 child, if any.
