Geoff Desmoulin from Deadliest Warrior shows you how to take a punch by talking you through the theory and then letting the entire Calgary Systema Club take running punches at him.

  • @LilBallerFlip sweet... old guy too!

  • All argueing aside, I have a serious request. I think this block or whatever it is is bogus, but I've been wrong before. So why don't you prove to me and anyone else that calls bullshido by letting a very good boxer hit you in the stomach really hard. If you can eat that punch, then I guess there's nothing else to argue.

  • @kevinchris As explained earlier I am not an expert Systema practitioner... I asked for 100% from the people in that gym, I can only assume that's what I got. However, I hit Maxim Franz as hard as I could on Green Beret vs Spetsnaz on Deadliest Warrior. (I'm 6'4", 240lbs). I was so impressed I started training. You can watch the footage on Spike.com for yourself. Besides the point is to be confident in skills enough to focus on attack not defense not just stand and take it.

  • This sucked. Systema is shitty for real life fighting. I wish I could fight a "systema" guy in an MMA fight. It would be one of my easier ones.

  • @kevinchris MMA does not equal street fight! I would pay money to see you fight Maxim Franz. Am I an expert Systema practitioner? No. Am I an expert at analyzing such arts... you bet AND I'm telling you are wrong.

  • very nicely explained and executed.

  • For trash talkers, as always, the bane of true net knowledge, in sports & sports science, "you" try taking that many punches, without moving much, even if they were smaller guys. But, sure you'll know it all, 'cause there's a world of sorcery & knowledge, in mommy's basement...Cage potatoes...PRECISE knowledge, Mr. Desmoulin. I love where you're helping to take the science.

  • Now, TJIS I like. Exact, on all aspects of differences bewteen a mobile & somewhat fluid, segmented body, as opposed to...Most of the cage potatoes, who disrespect fighters, on here, while in mommy's basement, should be aware of things N this vid., among many other things, including what a fighter goes through, training. This was a PERFECT display of variables, far better than in the limited fight science books.seminars. We both I know you got this exactly right, all accounts.

  • lol he spat on all of them

i tried this before, but no one really explained it, so I too spat my friends in the face :D but it works so thanks (and thanks Kadochnikov)

  • See my Systema and MMA, Submission, and Kali videos at ww MMA4SelfDefense com

  • I've fought and trained MMA with many of the best fighters in the world, and I incorporate Systema concepts and techniques for something like 13 yrs now for a reason and I have videos on the subject, some on how to use Systema in MMA

  • I would love to learn how to take a punch. I'm pretty pain tolerant, but thankfully have never had to fight.

I know how to deliver a punch since I have received boxing training.

  • Sigh, there always has to be some mach internet toughguy, that calls bullshit on something and who always feels he can whip someones ass.Yes,you're pretty original kevinchris.

  • @kevinchris LMAO! you have never had a real fight that is sport you do!

  • Even though they didn't punch that hard it's still very interesting I wish there was a systema school where I live I would so do it. Good stuff also can't wait to see you again in Deadliest warrior (One of my favorite shows as it never gets old).
