That's a brilliant idea to use compressed air. I once tried it with a hose and tap pressure water. In a very old Ford Escort the bits of corrosion in the engine had broken off and the previous owner used RADWELD to seal a small leak. That cured the leak but glued all the bits and blocked the heater matrix, it was a solid lump when I managed to remove it. That's why I am not a fan of the products that stop leaks and are meant to fix gaskets. Just replace the broken part and prevent extra damage!
