  • I was wonder how important (IS) is on the lens. Thinking of purchasing one but could not really decide between Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8 IS II USM or Canon

EF 70-200mm f2.8 USM the price is different about Canadian $ 1000.

  • @ihavedick4u It really depends on the way you shoot. I like to have it cuz I like to not use my tripod all the time. I shoot mostly just holding the camera with my hands most of the time, and often in low light. So the IS comes in handy in those situations. The ll is the newest version of that lens and has some advanced IS features. So if you want to save some money buy the older one if you dont need those features and the older IS is ok.

  • Everybody needs to rent from lensprotogo com They are by far the easiest, most professional company to do business with. One of the most satisfying experience i've had working with a company. I can't say enough good things about the company.

  • @tragictheory In the risk of sound like a "kiss ass", they really are the best camera gear rental out there. Paul will do anything he can to make sure you get what you need when you need it and in excellent shape. A real CLASS act!!

  • thats the only reason why i would go cannon, they make some sexy lenses :)

  • @owendart Its definatly something to concider is the glass. Thanks for watching.

  • Is that lens too much zoom on a 40d for portraits ?

  • @ihavedick4u i would highly recommend the IS version, I used to have the non IS and I rarely used it due to shaky images. Now I have the f2.8 IS Mark ii and it works incredibly well. It spends a lot of time on my camera and the IS means you can away with handheld shutter speeds as low as 1/2 sec with care!! The Mark i is good but the Mark ii is considerably better in terms of sharpness, flare and contrast, also the IS is a lot better.

  • Canon has one n ( Canon) not 2 but Cannon gas fires have 2

  • It's like a bomb case or something..

  • 17-55 mm f/2.8

  • @ihavedick4u Everything he said is correct, but I would also consider the fact that both lenses you are considering have a max aperture of 2.8, so even in low light conditions, you should be able to maintain a higher shutter speed, allowing for crisper images. Remember, IS only compensates for the photographer's shaky hands, not a moving subject. However, I believe this new IS II has a unique panning feature as well, which I'm sure is excellent for sports.

  • @mitsubishidiamante

i dont know bro :D cause when i go clubbing i never bring my dslr. my monthly routine is going ti forest and take a picture at there :D AND IT WAS AWESOME

  • @zack5024

question how was it when youre shooting indoors also inside the nigth club?

can you get a better pics?

  • i have this lens and i love it! nice video!

  • @ihavedick4u if you are using the non IS version and you shoot in low light at 200mm then use a tripod. If you don`t have one then use the rule of thumb about shutter speed (i.e at 200mm use 1/200 shutter speed) and crank up your ISO.Another one,use the AI servo to keep your subject in focus.Hope this one would help.
