  • You two are wonderful. It is refreshing to see such civil disagreement.

  • Tears were flowing out of my eyes, when i was reading the book. If one gets deeper in the story, he will understand basic causes of the current misery in Afghanistan. I can see clearly what changed the colorful life in Kabul to the present-day situation. I think watching the movie or reading the book is not basically a means of entertainment, but a message for our allies to put their most generous efforts to bring us back that life. We have suffered a lot.

  • Can anyone be more adorable than Marcia?

  • @KiroToru Me too actually... lol I want it!

  • You two are so charming! :)

  • I love that sweater!!

  • It's not mentioned in your description but I learned that Lorenzo Semple was a screenwriter in his life -- he did Papillon and Three Days of the Condor, and many others. I like him already (and his wife) but these facts give him a particular credibility because he certainly knows his stuff as far as story creation. I was an immediate subscriber!

  • what a great review thanks for sharing

  • Alright basically it's more than an excellent read, it's legendary.. It's got such well written characters with their own personalities. The atmosphere is amazing, and the plot is full of depth.

  • The book is disturbing at some parts, but is over all an excellent read.

  • good movie, real story, more movies about afghanistan please.

  • people from Afghanistan are called Afghans not Afghanis. Afghani is a monetary unit.
