Part 24 of 31 - Much like referencing your mix in mono, both mixing at low volumes in general and checking at super low volumes periodically will help you know if your mix is where it needs to be.

  • I love you

  • It's hard to demonstrate what you are describing to some people, no matter how well you do it. Very well put and demonstrated. If it has the main focus of the idea, solid at low volume, kickin it out..when you turn it up ON ANYTHING (system), it will kick true ass. Punch city. Good series you are doing here. Very "costly" to some I would think. Well done.

  • @cosminharbei Umm, not according to what I've read. It gets sort of kind of flat at around 120dB, but even then it really isn't that flat. Human hearing gets more flat as the volume goes up. As you turn it down, the lows and highs start to get lost more and more.

  • 83dB is where the hearing/frequency response curve is flattest. So... not that low!!

  • THOU SHALT NOT MIX AT HIGH VOLUMES! Especially on thy NS-10's!!

  • This is so freaking true, my man... I'm an amateur and this is my bread and butter... don't call ME a whimp for liking low volumes 8D

  • @recordingrevolution thanks graham!

  • So true, but not a truth I like to hear... (amateur mixer)
