Reverie (Part One)

This song is track #13 from 'Automatic', and is the first of a two part 'song suite' style thing. I wrote both pieces in a very short space of time, as is usual with me (quick bursts of work interspersed with lengthy lazy periods), and decided to make it a two-part thing because I felt that one part felt quite negative, and the other more uplifting. The lyrics are supposed to be about somebody who has drifted into an endless daydream. The guitar is tuned: B F# B E B D#.

The finger picking pattern is repeated in several guises throughout 'Automatic', as I wanted the album to have a recurring theme feeling running through it. I may be selfishly implying the fact that I really want the whole list of songs to be listened to in order as one big piece of music, but I am quite proud of my songs, so actually I'm not ashamed to do this at all. :)
