N6L @ Lassen Volcanic National Park

On August 7th-14th 2010, a group of Amateur Radio Operators, a few of whom had never met, joined to celebrate the Anniversary of Lassen Volcanic National Park and put the park on the air to be heard around the world using portable gear and operating from Summits and other rare locations in and around the Park. The event used the Special Event Callsign "N6L" and made over 600 contacts. All of the Operators were amazed and inspired by the beauty and awe of the park and have agreed to return on hopefully what will become an annual event for them, a chance to gather, celebrate, and share their enjoyment of the park and amateur radio with each other and with Operators around the world.
