Anyhow, I don't think R&J should have to rewrite their song just to accommodate cosleepers. That's ridiculous. The song is perfect as is. FTR, I cosleep. In fact I'm typing this from my laptop while lying in bed next to my sleeping 1-year-old.

Like another poster said, just sing your own version if it bothers you that much.

Children do what comes NATURALLY. When you force a child to sleep alone when they're afraid, or uncomfortable, or just can't sleep, increases the levels of stress hormones similar to a child in pain. There is something selfish about making them sleep alone as it has nothing to do with raising healthy children. There is scientific evidence showing that children with parents who allow them to co-sleep grow up to be healthier adults. I love these songs, though! Beautiful.
