Corruption is everywhere. Same for the U.S. This is not the perception most people have because as soon as you start exposing corruption in the U.S., they'll send terrorists after you which is why on surface it's non-existent. Currently, Putin's close friend controls "gasfond" "gasprombank" "sogas" "gasprom-media", also, Putin made gazprom " pay hundreds of millions of dollars to EuralTransGas and "rusukrenergo" which are being controlled by some Putin's friend of friend. Also, Putin bought 75% of "sibneft"!

Perhaps shaking off Russia's Siloviki gangster government could help. Putin controls 37% of Surgneftegaz, 4.5% of Gazprom and 50% of Gunvor. All together thats $33 billion. 10 years of astronomic energy prices and Russia still has no decent roads. Soveriegn Democracy or Dutch Disease? The economic crises will tell...
