mate our local the PITTSWORTH HOEY MOEY just raised over 8grand in one fucking night, im a toowoomba boy thu and thru and i have never see anything like it in the past, the most bizzar thing is i live on east creek got a bit of water in the place nothing major but driving around you would never know anything has happend really. the clean up seemed almost instant. was amazing. i have been flying over grantham allot the last 2 weeks and its hard to imagin that only 2 weeks ago it was so different

I'm only 13 but I donated $30. I wanted to donate $50 but, It's all I had at the time. Its so sad how so many lives have been destroyed. It brought tears down my face. I have never felt so useless. Even if I lived somewhere near Queensland I would at least try to help even if it was just helping out in an evacuation centre.

I just want to help. I hope to join the Army Reserves at 17 to hopefully help if anything like this happens. I do army cadets at the moment but...

How could our Town have been prepared for something that has NEVER happened... 700 odd metres above sea level. Yes we were ever so prepared for a flood. RIP to the lost xxoo
