I also was so excited that GFC was finally being released that I never screen shotted the early followers widgets running the first Google Friend Connect test.
Then it disappeared just as we published this video at 6am.
I looked like a complete idiot. Now 6 months later all of a sudden the Followers widget is GFC. Yes! I am vindicated and this is my proof.
The original video is on Viddler and the date stamp can't be changed like it can here.

Chris Thanks! That explains what I have noticed on my blog...the word 'follow' instead of 'join'.

This is an outtake from a video shot on September 16th, 2008 at 8 AM.
I am just glad I was right, allot of people started talking tin foil hat stuff back in September, 2008.
This is what started my obsession with Google Social features.
I had about four hours to play with real GFC widgets before anyone else saw fully working versions.
