Notoriouss Tad and his NA 358 96' LT1 Impala SS
Tearing up the 2008 Plam Springs Autocross on a very clean run.

This run is fastest run of the weekend up to that point. Later muscled out by Erni in his 2007 Twin Turbo AWD 911Porsche. To end up with the second fastest lap time of the weekend.

The Passenger is Buddy Victor.

If you dont think a cast iron Push Rod V8 4door with a solid axle and old school susspension can handle. This video proves you wrong.

  • That was a very impressive driving

  • akulax2 - thank you very much :-)

Maybe we will see you at the next event :-)

  • yes I am shifting the auto!

the auto is fully built (by me) as the stock unit can not withstand this kind of power or RPMs

car is rediculiously fun on the street

  • damn only thing that beat it was an AWD PORSCHE? Freaking GO impala!

  • @xxsolidsteelxx

Solidsteel ...were you at the event...cause that is correct!!!

  • Are shifting an automatic... manually? is that ok for the tranny? or for street driving if you get a speed rush? lol

  • @ProTools4 No but its says in the description? lol

  • hit me up on my email :-)

  • Thanks, I did not know that the B-Bodies have different steering boxes. Interestingly, my Roadmaster came from stock with a fast 12.7:1 ratio (2 turns lock to lock)!

    - How much hp on your motor?

    - What rear axle ratio and what kind of posi?

    - best quarter mile?

    Thanks

  • the Impala, caprice and 9c1 all have a different build to the steering box!!!

My impala always has driven nice down the road.

as the box is tight and responsive

    it just has no feel..

as you can see at the autocross I have to work the wheel way to much.
