Why do you call the chords maj9, -11, etc.? I thought, there is only the major7-chord?

This video's pure awesomeness. Exactly what I've been looking for - a series of different kinda movable, jazzy chord shapes. Well explained but not all that useless craptalk. I just love u man. Thank u!

Thank you brorher!

For the 6th string root chords. Is it okay to fret the low E with your thumb? I find it a fuck load easier than using my first finger, plus It frees up my 4th finger.

Taught me so much. Thank you forever.

@ RodneySTR - thanks for the concern dude, but I'm 100% fine. Maybe even better than that. But I am busy as a one legged man in an arse kicking competition - so maybe just a little more tired than usual? New background is just the sofa in my studio.

Good lesson, would you recommend the Mickey Baker Jazz Chord book? I heard Robbern Ford learnt using that too.

The Mickey Backer book is good, but I don't think a lot of things are explained well, and some of the chords are not practical, but there is some good stuff it in too... I liked it.
