@TopGearrules Basicly what your saying is this car is ANOTHER 1 of MG's headgasket knocker's !!!
-
Damn that is an ugly car...It will give toyota Prius a run for its money
-
MGB are cool, one of my all time faves, but i'd like to give a MG6 a go. Looks like a great little run about.

Pragmatic unit of production, or PUP for short, depressingly, and for all the wrong reasons, the old dogs are recieving tutorage in new trick.
-
I actually love this ad, and the car. They pitched it just right. Awesome. Not 'generic and bland', I would call it understated.
-
Looks generic and bland. I'd rather have the MGB.

@shalmaneser Excactly, doesn't make you want an MG6 thats for sure! The MGB shames it so hard it's almost a joke that they put them in the same advert.
Saw the new machine in Brighton couple of months ago, I felt it was mainly well finished, I thought there were some ripples in a plastic window trim detail and in conversation understood it had the K series but lost its variable valve timing ......but looked sound. Designed here.....80% chinese ...... but built here. Not quite a screw driver factory, not quite a manufacturing plant, may be just a pragmatic unit of production. Is this a phoenix that may fly, no longer parasitised by its hydra?

@magna59 The variable valve timing (VVC) was only on certain hot Rover/MGs, but most of the k series engines dont have this system (as it would be very costly to run). Im actually a fan of the K series, and when properly maintained and looked after, they are fantastic and are reliable if you regularly check the coolant (like any other car). Yes most of the car comes as a kit from china, however i dont know how they have the cheek to say its made in Britain, when 80% isnt!
