a little demo on how is it possible to make real objects occlude virtual ones in an augmented reality environment.
The trick is to represent the real object with a virtual one in the scene and make it invisible.

  • Wow...Great Work...Can you tell me what software's and techniques you used to overcome the problem of occlusion. Thanks

  • @Justinwk11 for this demo i used LinceoVR. the trick was to make a transparent object with same size and position of the real one, so it could occlude other virtual objects but still be invisible

  • the Earth rotate in the wrong direction! lol

  • neat.

Ive often thought as AR evolves to denno-coil levels we might need buildings models as "mask" objects to help intergrate 3d objects to real world locations.

You could even use the mask objects as shadow-catchers too, so virtual shadows can appear to fall onto real objects.

    Anyway, good work!
