Indian illegal organ trafficking - 01 Feb 08

Police in India say the alleged leader of an organ trafficking network may now have fled the country. Dr Ahmed Kumar is on the run after a raid on a private hospital in Delhi where he is thought to have performed hundreds of illegal organ transplants. Many of his alleged victims were poor immigrant labourers whose organs were sold to wealthy patients. Al Jazeera's Matt McClure reports from the Indian capital.

Actually most of the wealthy beneficiaries of those stolen kidney are from western countries, mainly the USA, Canada, EU member states. The reporter is not telling the truths when he says most of the patients benefitting from those evil activities are from the Middle East, on ABC website and many more website it was said most of the patients found in India waiting for those organs where of European origin.
