What makes Datsyuk so great is not just his extraordinary forward - skating, handling, body and scoring skills, but, as well, his ability to immediately shift into defensive mode where and when need be. He's really complete and in a league of his own.

Let's be honest...there is not one single player more talented than Pavel Datsyuk in the NHL. I'm a Canucks fan meself and Detroit's our main competitor for top spot in the league but I find myself cheering when he scores on us.

@instinctz1 Yes rebuilding is what everyone has to do at some point it doesn't matter how you become a contender, just that you are and you win Cups. Do you want Detroit to get some kind of medal for not having to full on re-build in over 20 years? and no it's not a big difference between game 6 and 7 it's just one game.

The only one who's delusional is you thinking that your team somehow holds intitlement over the other teams.

@nevertweet015 you are going to seriously say that a team who rebuilt by having 5 years worth of high picks is comparable to a team that rebuilt without having any pick inside of the top 15? you are delusional. the year the penguins lost, they only made it to game 6, whereas detroit made it to game 7. big difference there. stop being delusional, Detroit is the gold standard in hockey teams for the past two decades.

@instinctz1 Pitsburgh got high picks for 5 straight years actually they picked defenseman Ryan Whittney real high in 2002 but it doesn't matter how you rebuild just that it gets done, aswell going to the final and losing just makes you the first loser that year Penguins did it aswell so you haven't done anything more than the other teams with Cups.

@nevertweet015 been to two, and in the one we lost, we managed to take it game 7, and furthermore, we didn't get a first or second overall pick like Pittsburgh got for 4 straight years to rebuild our team, we had to rebuild on the fly, via a superior scouting and developmental program to any team in the nation.

@instinctz1 ya Physicality wins hockey games did you see the Boston/Vancouver final? having a physical dimension to your game gives you more to work with than a non physical player, it makes the oponent think when your coming in on him(is he going to stick lift me or plow his shoulder threw me?)
