EconomistMagazine videos: Stephanie Sinclair, a photographer, spent time from 2003 onwards with child brides in Afghanistan. Girls as young as 8 are married off to settle debts and disputes or sold to raise money.

  • I think this is a very calm and rational view on a highly emotive subject - well done Stephanie for exposing this ancient practice that has no place in the modern world, while showing its roots and the culture behind it, with minimal overt criticism, and a bit of humour.
