@DLeiblerJones - My heart goes out to you and your family. I only got to know Brandon very briefly, and I feel a sense of loss that I never got to climb and run down with him again. I had a great time with him when we crossed paths on Breakneck back in '07, and we hung out one other time when I offered to take him to The Cliffs in Valhalla. Brandon and I were definitely kindred spirits, and I'm very sorry for the loss of your son. His spirit and tremendous energy lives on. - Todd

You need to run it during the week. Im a junior at haldane (the school in the town of cold spring) and avoid the face trails during the weekends or summer. Run taurus, cornish estate, or go to the catskills. The mountains are amazing and much more enjoyable in solitude

@SkiFantic - That particular day was craziest that I've ever seen! There was literally a 2 mile long line of people (from about 8 tour buses) walking up the road and on the first portion up to the flag. On one hand it sucked because my rhythm was thrown off, but on the other hand it was kinda fun dodging people and hearing their retarded comments as I blazed by. I should have some cool skiing videos that I took with my GoPro up here soon. I'll have to check out the other places you mentioned. T.

@ROCKOUR78 nice looking forward to the video. I didn't know there was any point this winter that there was enough snow on the face of Breakneck. I skied the south face of Taurus many times this winter though :P

@SkiFantic I haven't skied down breakneck, but I enjoy climbing it when it's snowy and icey. Skiing Mt. Taurus sounds pretty bad-ass! I'd like to see some video of that. I took my footage at Gunstock in NH using the gopro. Just haven't gotten around to doing the editing.

Todd - Thank you for making this video in memory of my son, Brandon. Breakneck was one of his favorite places. I hiked it in August with a group of his friends and we scattered his ashes at the peak. He'll forever be a part of Breakneck. He hiked that mountain with same energy as you - - he would swing from the branches and jump from one rock to the another with such joy. He would have loved running the mountain with you. Thank you... Debbie

@DLeiblerJones Hi Debbie. I can imagine that this will be a tough weekend for you and your family. I'll be running Breakneck on Sunday, and lighting a candle on top in Brandon's memory.
Take care,
Todd
