  • The past is a different country. People got culture shock when they heard the music of the future. That's all. It was not of its time so the people of the time didn't get it.

  • @WELLBRAN: Miles's goal was to make contemporary Jazz that would appeal to young Black people of the day. The music, and the album cover, was drawn from cultural elements of the day to appeal to the young and hip.
