FDNY Rescue 1, the lone rescue company in Manhattan, located on 43rd Street between 10th and 11th Avenue, gets called on a run up to 125th Street and Lenox Avenue, where there is a man trapped under a downtown 2 Train. I can only wonder what became of the person who was trapped under that train; most likely he didn't survive. Either way, we see Rescue 1 get their assignment. The rig is a 2007 Pierce Arrow XT. Enjoy the sound of the tones, the somewhat new rig, and the sound of the large amount of use of the Federal EQ2B. Sorry about the glare in the last 15 seconds of the video. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The video was taken on July 3rd, 2009.

  • nice truck

  • eq2b ruins the truck

  • @cwjones0322 Most of the large apparatus is. There's a master switch for power, an ignition switch, and then the push button start.

  • Nice video!

  • @BraapaTap if your talkin about the back of their rescue, ya there are doors if you look closely enough the doors are on the inside of those walls there just held open. its just easier to leave them open

  • @Frankengamer There is no door I believe. Most of the company rides in the back of that unit. As the truck leaves the station one of the guys shuts the garage door then runs and gets into the back of the rescue. Its a high step for them!

  • @firemedic916 Rescue 2 in Brooklyn is the busiest followed by Rescue 1, Rescue 4, Rescue 5, and Rescue 3 according to the 2010 Runs stat sheet.

  • there is no better unit in town resuce 1 for ever god bless y guys, Chris FDNY !

  • @cwjones0322 yes

  • Push button start? The truck was running before the driver even climbed in.
