The second in a series of ?? on the making of leaf spring knives. I used the followind supplies: A leaf spring from a '38 Chevy pickup, a plate of mild steel that I was given, 2 loveless-style bolts and a slab of black canvas micarta both of which I ordered off the internet. Tools I used: Craftsman 12" bandsaw (to cut out the bolster pieces and the micarta slabs), my homemade 2"X72" belt grinder

  • Absolutely beautiful work, brother! Nicely done!

  • Holy cow, man! This video (and its prequel) were the two most enjoyable videos I have seen on YouTube for a LONG time! Both thumbs up! I wish I was handy enough to be able to make such things. Sure, I could just BUY a bowie if I wanted to, but to MAKE one yourself is AWSOME! I wonder, what quality is that steel? How sharp is the edge and how well does the steel keep the edge?
