@KenNorth310 Haha true. But then the owner of said replica wouldn't be able to enjoy watching it move. On the plus side, he'd save hours of his time not staring at something as it spins around. :o)

@darrensurrey Its not that hard to make a replica, since that doesnt actually need the tourbillion to WORK, just to look the same.

wow incomprehensible!

This. This is what EPIC WIN looks like when slathered with awesome sauce and served with a side of kickass.

@FishBowl911 its a mechanism thats built into mechanical watches to counteract the effects of gravity on the accuracy of the watch.
-
@FishBowl911 A tourbillon is used to counter the effects of gravity on the more delicate parts of a mechanical watch. A gyrotourbillon takes it a step further and ensures a stable rate in all positions, whether it is worn or set on a table for example.

why is the tourbillon so good? Does it keep time better than just the regular wind up types or something?
-
this is art. Presice and perfect art with a purpose and a soul. my tourbillon fascinates me and its just a simple 1 minute flying tourbillon...this is totally perfect and genius.
-
what happen if the watch falls to the ground? will the tour-billion broke/shatters?
-
@TheB0P You must look up Steam Punk then, this is by definition its foundation. Cheers.
The sort of person who can build a replica of this could easily be making his own brand of watches. :)
