  • There is no difference in the flow characteristics of the various materials. A 4" Aluminized flows the same as a 4" Stainless. The difference is cost of the material. Aluminized steel is significantly cheaper than stainless

  • The exhaust is pretty similar to stock on the idle and cruising speeds. Where you see the increase in sound is under accelleration. The increased flow will also help spool the turbo faster so you will hear the turbo a bit more as well.

  • Yes that is our 5" stainless steel tip part number 49-90002.

  • I have an afe stage 2 c.a.i. on my 06 and i love it, i wanna get that exhaust also. How loud is it inside compared to stock?

  • It is quite a bit louder on hard excelleration but very close to stock at idle and high speed cruising. Thanks for your support

  • Sounds great

Does this truck have stock turbo and stock exhaust manifold?

Is this with the muffler in the quiet or loud position?

  • Stock turbo and the muffler is a straight through perforated core so there is no quiet or loud position. A few years back aFe used a louvered core muffler that had the quiet and loud position but we don't use that muffler design anymore.
