theres lamb of god and chimaira and watever the fuck else terry hesticles call metal...and then theres people who arent tone deaf and have some talent...Deathspell and Obsidian Chamber being a few of the many black metal bands worth a fuck...rose funeral just came out with a new album aegaeon did also if ur into genre hopping a little..

@cdm100488 I'm not in the know of any bands whom are as intellectually renown as Deathspell Omega. Their music is superior in support of the lyrical content, no black metal band can touch upon their metaphysical integrity; however, that being said, Blut Aus Nord also approach the vastness of the metaphysical cosmos through their sonic offerings.

Best piece on the album, though thats hard to say because Paracletus flows so perfectly as a whole, its hard to listen to any single track off this album without wanting to hear the entire thing in order. This band is really something amazing.

@Jenult When I am playing this song, I feel a great propensity towards violence, though, I can say much the same for the majority of Deathspell Omega's material.

@ElderPeugnet That is what is so beautiful about metal....you just keep searching and learning and growing...you will never know all the good bands, and never entirely understand the magnitude of what is happening musically...but you love it so much you just keep searching for your next favorite band.

@ApolloIron You might never become what you mean by "well-rounded metalhead" I've been intensely into metal for 10 years now and stil I admit I lack some knowledge revolving the music and of course there are many bands I haven't listened to, but that's what I like.

If I can find more awesome bands that appeal to me like Deathspell Omega then I'll be into the hunt for them for the rest of my days..
