My FlyCamOne2 was never reliably working since I bought it about a year ago. It was stopping recording and switch off whenever it liked. Finally I decided to solve the problem or just throw it away. It is too frustrating if you cannot count on your equipment.

I found many articles on RC forums from people having the same problem. I concluded that it must be in relation with the power supply of the camera. The charging of the LiPo doesn't seem to be controlled and may not protect the LiPo against overcharging. That's probably the reason why so many people have problems with their camera.

The simplest solution is to just take the LiPo out and replace the power supply of the camera by an external connection directly from the Spektrum AR6200 receiver (5V). Here are a few pictures how I proceeded including a flight video of that foggy day at the border of the lake. I mounted the camera on my Multiplex EasyGlider Pro. I will make "wall plugs" on the fuselage of all planes where I will use the camera for a power connection outside the plane. The camera turned for 3+ hours without any problems in my workshop and it was totally insensitive to vibrations and quit hard beats on the body.

When flying it never unexpectedly stopped recording again

Multiplex EasyGlider Pro:
- BL Outrunner Turnigy 35-36C, 1100KV
- ESC Turnigy Plush 40A
- Graupner folding prop 11x6"
- Zippy LiPo 3S/2200mAh
- Servos HXT900
- Spektrum AR6200 receiver

I am using a Spektrum DX7 DSM2 transmitter

  • Were you using the 2.4 GHz transmitter and receiver?

  • @spinosaurus242 Yes, - Spektrum AR6200 receiver and Spektrum DX7 DSM2 transmitter (see description)

  • @Free07Style And what was the fardest range/distance/hight that you have attained with this combo (Spektrum AR6200 receiver and Spektrum DX7)?

  • @spinosaurus242 well I don't know. But it was far and high enough, that I almost couldn't see a 1.8m plane anymore. Maybe 500 meters far and 250 meters high?

  • @Free07Style Is it posible to fly 1 km away from the transmitter with this combo?

  • @spinosaurus242 This sound a bid far to me and you wouldn't see the plane any more... unless you have a good FPV equipment, do you?
