Scott and I are using 1/2 inch white tubing hoops. It is High Density Polyethlyne (HDPE) & Polypropylene (PPE). Scotts is 36 inches tall and mine is 33.5 inches tall. The kids are using the more typical irrigation tubing also at 1/2 inch. The white tubing is very light and more rigid. I like them because there is little bowing when breaking the hoops direction and its more responsive all around. Here is the best description of the differences and how to make them.
Coolest family ever - wish my family would do this with me, we'd be a littler happier and healthier :)
