Man - Thankyou for this! I remember these ads well, and miss Renaissance
alot. Geoff could be grouchy at times, but he was so knowledgeable, and
stocked so many Heavy Metal/Rock imports - more than anywhere else at the
time. It was at his place that I first discovered a small band called Metallica!
It was 1984,and I saw the album "Ride The Lightning" for the first time. It was
that way with many bands - he turned me on to them first. Years before they
were big acts. Loved the Cat also!

@swann62 me too im 43 and also worked summer jobs to buy albums ended up with pretty impresive album collection...by the way he had a bit part in dawn of the dead the original and a prop from the movie in his store

I used to spend almost every dime I made at my summer jobs, and later at my full time job at this place!!! Coolest record store on the planet. He also helped out a lot of local bands , letting them post show flyers. Sadly missed.

My first record store. Great memories.
Tell Geoff and Skyp I hope their doing well.
Yes post more RMM ads. Mr. G rocks!
-
Please post more of these. I went to UD and shopped at RMM regularly-thanx to those ads. It was easier to walk down to 2nd Time Around, but RMM were punk rock!

Geoff and Skyp (the owner and manager of the now defunct RMM) are good friends of mine. I have a copy of the master tape with several more of these commercials on them, and if they don't mind, I will try to post more of them. Entertaining stuff.

My favorite of the four, by far, is the Mr. G as Santa clip!
