Generic 1925 or so TRF radio receiver using UX201A & CX301 tubes. Bought at 2007 Charoltte Antique Wireless Association Swapmeet - Flea Market. Just got a signal through it today. Transmitter is a SSTRAN kit transmitter I use for old time radio rebroadcast.

  • I will need to create a new video. The settings in the camera were incorrect, and I used the smaller memory card. This is why the video is dark, and ends too early.

  • Looks and sounds like it never left the 20’s Thanks for sharing!

  • I want to build an old vintage handmade radio, but can a transistor do the same job of the tube?

  • :( I could not see the front.

  • Nice radio!

That SSTran transmitter is the only way to go. I first made the mistake of ordering another assembled brand off ebay. BIG mistake!

Hope to see more videos from you.

  • Outstanding!

And, thanks for the tip about the SSTRAN transmitter! I'm going to build one of those!
