I just got an old Apple IIc and wanted to see what kind of music I could make with it. I'm using 8-bit Weapon's DMS (digital music synthesizer) for all of the sounds you see coming out of the IIc. I recorded this in a "video song" format—what you see is what you hear, all video captured during the creation of the song. :)

what mic do you use for vocals? do you use pre-amp?

@cvj2311 i used two mics for this, a groove tubes gt66 and an audix om7. no fancy preamp, just the built-in mic pres on a mackie onyx 800r. :)

do you run the vocals straight into the timeline or do you bus out of protools into the timeline and then back into protools? or whatever software you use

@MikEskabar I've done this both ways—for this song i went straight into Timeline. For other songs I have recorded dry vocals and then bussed them out to TimeLine, then back into ProTools. :)

@jimmysjolund the song is not mixed in mono, but the Apple IIc does only have a mono output.
