This is the NBC version of the Gong Show in early 1977. This features probably the television debut of a future comic legend in Pee Wee Herman (Paul Reubens). Panelists are Jaye P. Morgan, Arte Johnson, and LA Dodger Steve Garvey

  • I can eat two wieners!

  • we had such funny goofy shows back then much better than some of the reality shows now that take themselves too seriously!

  • Pee Wee beat the xylophone lady. lol

  • Chuck Barris is such a nut. They said he was high when he did the show which he denied. They also said he was secret agent for the CIA. I don't believe he ever confirm or denied the alligations! One thing for sure he was a genius. He invented the Newlywed as well as many other game shows.

  • There once was a kid that did the perfect Chuck Barris impersonation. As I recall, he started as an act but became a regular. Does anyone remember that or know where to find it (them, as in a series actually)?

  • is the woman who's pee-wee's partner the woman who is Simone in his first movie? You know, with the big but?

  • That xylophone lady was definitely rockin'! lol

  • OMG, it took me 35 years to forget this show! Oh well, back to therapy.

  • Cocaine is a hell of a drug!

  • The xylophone lady should have won!!!
