if you want to remove your makeup with a kiehl's cleanser.. go for ultra facial cleanser everytime.. it removes my double wear estee foundation and yet at the same time it doesnt strip my skin! it just leaves my skin feeling lushhhhhhhh! and totally nurtured :)

if youre wanting to get a more effecive cleanse using the Kiehls cleanser, i reccommend using Dermalogica's PreCleanse before-hand. Im not a fan of Dermalogica except for a couple products. The PreCleanse is amazing at removing anything and everything off your face which allows your chosen cleanser to penetrate deeper and work even better. It starts off as an oil-based consistency which attracts debris and oil, then you dampen your face and it emulsifies into a nice thin lather, i love it
