  • This is an amazing piece, which I am certainly going to try and get ahold of! Your technique is just stunning Emma, smooth and controlled. @ 0:20, those held notes were nice & playful, a little mysterious, and gorgeous! I can't wait to see you develop the more subtle expressive side of your playing, you'll be unstoppable! Just remember to tell us all a story and it'll be as natural as breathing.

P.S. Do you have any favorite technical exercises? Especially for the upper range?

  • @Alyanna332 Hi, Thanks for watching!!! I appreciate it!!!

I do the exercises most everyone does, T&G, Reichert, Maquarre.

    Hope that helps!!! --Emma

  • Emma: This is wonderful. You are really getting the music. You are beyond the notes, and approaching the "heart" of the emotions behind the sounds. Your presentation is relaxed in technique, but forceful in delivery. Your body movement & posture are engaging. You were a phenom when younger, and now are becoming a musician. It is a beautiful process to see.

I look forward to seeing you perform in person some day.

  • @tritonemark Hi, Thank you so much!!! That's one of the nicest things anyone could say, and it makes my heart smile!!! Thank you!!! --Emma

  • Oh Gosh. Emma, this is amazing. Ive been playing for about three months and I only taught myself this summer. Best in my class at the flute. Not NEARLY as good as you. I am a bit younger than you but Im ten. But this is great, and I love looking at your videos. Ive looked at the one when you were like eight playing flight of the bumblebee (Which Im gonna try) and now Im at this, AMAZING VID!
