A lot of people criticized me over the abortion clip. It was short, it didn't explain his stance, which was unfair of me. I really just wanted to get in the fact that he "Pro-Life" in there, because this was targeted at liberals who only know the things he is right about. I should have shown more.

Here's Ron Paul comprehensively outlining his opinions on abortion:

Here's the full speech in Iowa that adds context to his views:

Here's Ron Paul's signature on a pledge to, among other things, appoint only those with anti-abortion views to the positions of Attorney General, Secretary of Health and Human Services, and Director of the National Health Institute

Though he may be against a constitutional amendment banning abortion, his presidency would result in a dramatic reduction in reproductive options available to American women, which I view as a civil liberties issue.

Having re-watched the video, I will say that I have come to agree with more of what he said about Iran after researching the topic. I think the regime is tyrannical, but that our actions (sanctions, covert ops, not restraining our ally, Israel, which is probably responsible for the murder of nuclear scientists). are bringing us closer to war. This would be disastrous, and I have never been in favor of that. Having done due diligence, I realize now that Paul's stance is superior to Obama's actions.

Ron Paul is no worse than any other major candidate, as far as I'm concerned. In a cynical, utilitarian sense, I see minor benefits of a second Obama term, and will probably vote for him reluctantly. What I intended to do with this compilation was point out that Paul is, like the rest of the bunch, imperfect. There is no Great Leader who will save enter the White House and redeem this country. That will only happen through hard work and changes at every level of government and society.

If you think that Paul is, on balance, better for the country than Obama, fine. If you think that all of his ideas are correct, and that inaugurating him in 2012 will guarantee a better country by 2016, then I think you need to be more skeptical. This format (news montages) isn't really appropriate for putting forth that kind of nuance, though.

  • @Mratl131 Evolutions, huh? Try proof reading next time. the "regular conversation" meaning of theory doesn't mean anything real to someone that has an education. Why don't I jump off a building? because Theories have huge amount of data behind them. That's what makes them theories and all the data for gravity says it's a bad idea. Don't give me this just a theory BS. Use the words correctly or don't use them at all.

  • @setboy1

Evolutions absolutely IS a fact. In science a theory means something different than in regular conversation. It is still called the theory of gravity, but if it is "just a theory" why don't you go jump off a tall building? After all, it's just a theory.

  • @Mratl131 Evolution is not a fact. It's a theory. Theories can't be facts. Think before you post.

  • @MikeHDcod

But it does affect the earth. The global warming is important because he won't restrict companies from polluting as much as they want, and he won't stop halliburton from fracking for natural gas and poisoning peoples' water supplies and giving them cancer. It is not about him forcing his beliefs or not, it is about saving our planet from destruction.

  • @Mratl131 you know what else is fact RON PAUL SUPPORTS ALL RELIGIOUS AND SCIENTIFIC BELIEFS REGARDLESS OF WHAT HE BELIEVES, he doesn't want to run your beliefs like all the other candidates, HIS PERSONAL VIEWS HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS POLITICAL PLATFORM, his platform gives you, your civil rights back, he takes away government from controlling your life, AND THE ONLY REASON TO BE APPOSED TO HIS POLITICAL VIEWS IS IF YOUR TOO DENPENDANT ON OTHERS AND DONT WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

  • @MikeHDcod

You know what else is a FACT?

    Evolution.

You know what is another FACT?

    Global Warming.

And Ron Paul doesn't believe in either of those so I don't want him anywhere near the presidency.

  • In Tuscaloosa, Alabama after the tornado in April of last year, FEMA was giving out ridiculous amounts of money to people who didn't need it. I also saw the incompetence in Gulfport, MS after Katrina destroyed that city. He is totally right about everything he is saying about FEMA.

  • Like this if you dislike this video.

  • why do you remove ratings bro, why can't we vote on comments, because you know it would be pro Ron Paul, I don't understand how you can be anti RP, his views on abortion are that a fetus will grow up into a person, killing a fetus is killing a person that's a fact, so because he's against murder your against him, if a women was raped that can give a fair view to the pro-choice viewpoint but the fact is no matter that circumstances you are for killing a person, a violent act, i don't understand

  • Laughable that ratings are disabled.
