This video shows how a satellite meter can help finding the sweet spot to perfectly align a satellite dish. This can be used on a DirecTV, Dish Network, C Band, KU Band, Free To Air, satellite dishes. Good for DIY Home installer and for RV campers.

Helps reduce rainfade (breaking up of satellite signal during rain storms).

  • what stupid device does it tell you wich satellite your aiming on?

  • @masterbiy Thanks for asking. No it does not tell you which satellite you are on. Don't expect a $20 device to tell you which satellite you are on. For that you will need the Birdog ($400) or the Super Buddy ($699)

  • Just get a birddog

  • @cfnstrn2 True, but most casual users can't afford or need one. However, if you travel a lot in an RV or do a lot of installations, the BIRDOG might be a better investment

  • don't use these cheap ass meters, just use an old directv receiver and its built in signal meter

  • @dhide14 Sorry I disagree with you. This meter is very helpful when installing a directv or dish network antenna. Specially for people traveling with their RV and portable satellite systems.

  • hey so you start with the dial to the left then gail it (to the right ?)

  • @SadounTube ive used similar meters like this, they do tell you how strong your signal is, but the noise is annoying in my opinion. If you are doing Sat work as a means of income, save your self the time, and buy a birdog. Super buddy works good, but are traditionally more expensive.

  • @SadounTube better yet go on Ebay and buy a bridog there for 200 bucks. if you live in an area where satellites installers are prominent, look on craigslist.

  • @masterbiy if you want one that says the name of the satelite you can buy a digital one but they are wery expensive.

  • @masterbiy is an analog finder of course not

  • @cfnstrn2 or a super buddy they blow!
