The Puerto Rico Gay Pride Parade was held for the 19th consecutive year in Condado's Ashford Avenue (San Juan, PR) last Sunday June 7, 2009. Participants from all around the island and of all orientations came to celebrate freedom of speech in this colorful and playful march down the one of San Juan's main avenues - leading passersby and onlookers in chants demanding equal rights to all.

@magnusXbane Your way of expressing yourself and your choice of words only confirms how lacking in culture and intelligence you are.
This Gay 'pride" whatever is just as lacking in substance and culture..just a bunch of Locas, not a very pretty picture of Puerto Rico's large Gay community.
When you are ready to see a real Gay Pride March and Celebration come here in late June. In the meantime, go finger your ass.

@NativeNewYorkGuy
taking in consideration your name "nativenewyorkguy" you creating horrible false advertisement about yourself. If you are indeed a native new yorker then you dont know shit about puerto rico so shut your jizz hole. Just because your family is a shitload of illiterate morons that live in the deepest hole of the Cuevas de Camui does not mean they are the general picture of P.R.'s people. And its like a carnival, you are meant to dress up and act crazy. Go fuck yourself you rican

@NativeNewYorkGuy I agree, I wouldn't attend either.

@willycosme I know that Puerto Rico is full of homophobic people---some of them are my relatives. However there are also MANY Gay and Lesbian people in Puerto Rico. This has always been the case so that is why I am surprised as well as dismayed that all I see here is what seems to amount to nothing more than a pageant of clowns....feeding in to all negative stereotypes.
If I were in Puerto Rico during Gay Pride...I would not even bother to attend if this what it is.
