Toshiba has updated their range of microwave density meters, which analyze the density of fluids flowing through pipes. The LQ600 has a wider diameter compared to the previous LQ500 model allowing it to be used in applications with a higher throughput of liquids. The Densometer monitors the difference in microwave phase between the original wave and the one passed through the measured fluid to determine the density of fluids. The Densometer can be used in a range of industries including processing wastewater, paper pulp and building materials or in the food industry for measuring the concentration of moisture, sugar or starch in various food products. Toshiba also supply a range of Flowmeters for measuring the flow of conductive fluids. The LF510 is an electromagnetic capacitance Flowmeter which features an Alumina Ceramic lining material allowing it to process pure water without the risk of contamination.
