  • Anybody know what time signature this is in?

  • Versatile eagles bringin' it AGAIN!!!

  • @Curtrx7 LOL, I remember the guitar stings from a sketch Dave Thomas did on SCTV, something about an S&M chef having a TV show or something. :)

  • When I first came across this song a couple of years ago I thought it was from obscure 70's movie. One with a ambitious young female journalist that teams up with a burned out detective to discover who the disco strangler is, only to find out it's a rookie cop. However, when I Googled it I was greatly disappointed!

  • I don't understand why so many people hate this song, IMO I like this song a lot better than "Teenage Jail" or any of their recent stuff

  • man kudos to obscure eagles songs. lissen to the guitar signal just come in and out and work that riff. plus the bass is all over the place, metronome drums. another disco send up/homage like 'those shoes' and 'one of these nights'. they like the r/b and the girls/partying but not all the BS that went w/ it. henley voice like lemon acid mustard in yer eye.

  • One of my favorite Eagles tunes. I tend to like their obscure stuff, unlike the most popular. An other i liked is Those shews. Brings back memories of when thees songs came out.

  • YA VACATIONLAND CAMPGROUND...BOOMBOX, PIRATES HAT, HIGHTOP KMART SHOES AND DISCO STRANGLER PLAYING!!!!

  • Side A? The Long Run was released as a single in November 1979. It reached #8 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in early 1980 It was the second of three singles released from The Long Run album, preceded by "Heartache Tonight," which reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in November 1979, and followed by "I Can't Tell You Why," which also reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100, in the spring of 1980.[3]

  • A great song you never hear anymore!
