Illinois Public Media's Book Mentor Project will host a benefit called "Words in the Wind" on Thursday, November 10 in Champaign. Kent Conrad, heard here playing an encouraging song written by Fred Rogers, will be one of the personalities bringing children's books to life at the event.

Live and Local is heard weekdays from noon to 1 pm on WILL FM 90.9. Kevin keeps you informed about local music performances by performers both local and national. The program includes interviews with the artists, as well as educators, students, administrators and audience members. You'll hear features on the many performing groups throughout our listening area, a daily calendar of music events, and (of course!) lots of music.
