Yes, the LT1 was actually optional on the 9C1. A giveaway from the rear is dual exhaust...only the LT1 had that from the factory.

Also, the engine code in the VIN will be W for the L99 and P for the LT1.

My friend has a quite rare '94 civilian Caprice LS w/LT1, limited slip, oil/trans coolers etc...*most* of what made up the Impala SS.
