This is a young Shetland Sheepdog, doing clicker, lure, and reward training. He's demonstrating his loose leash walking, drop-it, sit for greetings, touch, tip and pop into stand.

  • how does the clicker training work?

My sheltie looks indentical! very cute

  • @GradySaxman08 Hi, I use Clicker training to teach new behavours and fine tune skills later, then I move to using the Premack Principal (you do some thing for me, then I'll do something for you like a treat/toy play, praise etc). Clicker training is well known with tons of books and videos. The dog is conditioned to feel a 'joy' response called 'charging the clicker', then I apply the click and reward instead of praise for stuff they all ready know. Now it's ready to teach new things.

  • were is the new videos of winston

  • Probably on his new moms camera.

Sorry - I don't own this pup anymore.

  • How is Winston doing these days?

  • He grew to big for the show ring, so I made some 1/2 brothers to him, that where born July/07. He is doing great with his new family in Vancouver B.C. His taking formal obedience with his new mom and making tons of new friends.

    Thanks for asking.
