At the point when the sound stops I am putting the brass shallot into a jig that will hold the shallot in order to solder a plug to one end of the piece. I am heating up the solder and shallot at the same time with a pointy soldering iron and wait until the solder fuses to the brass. Let cool down and sand the excess solder flush with the shallot.
BEST JOB EVER! That has to be a ton of fun.
