  • I'm looking forward to seeing the movie, The Battle of Belleau Wood, to learn nore about the Marine Corps' history during this battle. I am excited to see this as part of the Marine Corps Museum.

  • I was the on set paramedic for the film. Only Marines could go through the 100 degree heat in those wool uniforms as they did for those two weeks without so much as a complaint.

  • They didnt have enough uniforms to go around in the day so they had to wear army uniform. I got to be in this reenactment, it was fun but it was a lot of work those uniforms were made of wool and were like a sauna.

  • My Fiance is in this :-)

  • They did show alot of Marines wearing Army Issue equipment. I have the production photos saved in my pictures and the group photo shows around 8-9 guys out of 25 wearing army issue clothing. As for them showing them under army command, they were an entire Battalion/ Regiment ( cant remember sorry) so they would have their own officers up to around the rank of Majors and Colonels so the Marines would not be directly lead by Army Officers.

  • You can bet that they won't show the Marines wearing a lot of Army-issued uniforms and fighting as a command within the Army's 2nd Infantry Division like they actually did. Also, it's unlikely you'd find a wheat field standing by 1918 in that part of France...

  • GENIUS! Why pay some actor from Hollywood millions of dollars when you can get REAL MARINES that know what the hell they're doing to come out and make an authentic film... I've seen too many movies where the lingo is incorrect... Marines (Actors) calling each other soldiers, screaming for a Medic instead of Corpsmen., etc.
