I understand what you say and I did mention in my previous message that most people do not care about the quality of the song. Yes, you are right in saying they do pick their favourite because the presenters constantly bombard you with slogan. I suppose that people have different reasons to do so, it may be because it comes from a neighbouring country, or they are fans of the artist/s or they are abroad and vote for their own country or some people simply like the song.

I have to disagree with you. EVERY time they say vote, they don't say "Pick the one that was the best", they say "Pick your favorite". Just because it was done well doesn't mean that it's going to be everyone's favorite. And just because it was everyone's favorite doesn't mean it was performed well. It's the JURY'S job to decide which is the best, not the televoters.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this song, and think she did amazingly well in Belgrade. :D

Sadly the quality of the song is not important for most people but the voting for songs from neighbouring countries.

I agree with you, this should have been the winner. Her wonderful voice, poise, presence on the stage and that wonderful song should have been more than enough for the victory.

I do not speak Serbo-Croat but that does not prevent me from enjoying the song and understanding its feeling.

I even wrote a short story based on it.

This song is so for Kosovo and every authentic Serb knows what Oro means, for every Serb living today walking on Earth's surface comes for Kosovo and Jelena expressed on a higher level what Kosovo means to Serbs. This is such a goooood song. I am just so disappointed that so many people ignored this fact and even made fun of it, they should be ashamed of themselves. Jelena is one of a kind performer.

This music is never ever Irish, this is folk Serbian, the original Serbian voice, that's why I still say this is the song with best quality (composition, vocal performance as well as visual performance) in couple of last years. She is an absolute winner.
