Tell me, can it play my media files(not the ones it will record) into my tv. I've been using my PS3 to play my wmv and mpeg movies on tv via external hard drive. Is this possible with this product?

well, it works fine with a mac computer. You just record files on the device (you don't even need it connected to a computer) then you just transfer those files to the mac and they play in quicktime...
