My first tests of the Funcube Dongle using a simple GNU Radio FFT/Waterfall application and the cross platform FCD control application written using Qt.
The Funcube Dongle is USB-memory sized software defined radio receiver for 60 MHz - 1.7 GHz. It provides a 96 ksps I/Q stream via USB audio interface and uses USB HID for control protocol, thus no special drivers are required.
The test is running on Ubuntu 10.10 32 bit.

  • @n9vn Preparing for the ARISSat reception challenge -- smallest antenna category ;-)

  • nice antenna... :-)

  • @myozone Yes, whenever there is a batch of 100-200 units they sell out within 60 seconds! You have to watch the mailing list for when the next batch will be available and then try to order right on time.

  • You must have been one of the lucky ones to get one! - soldout
