A remake of my first song using MuseScore. Much better (more tragic feeling) this time round...I hope.

All songs come with a story. This song describes the tearful final night spent together by a loving young couple before their imminent separation due to the guy's participation in a war/battle.

MuseScore is indeed a great program. To be able to create music with orchestral instruments with a few click of the mouse for free was previously a unimaginable notion. Hopefully, my audio quality would be able to improve with the release of ver. 0.9.5.

Enjoy!

  • i've changed my username to 'mrruixiangz'.

all new (and old) songs will be posted there.

  • What a beautiful song!~ I myself am beginning on musescore! What is the difference between the Linux and the Windows? Because I have the Linux right now, would the Window make it more fluent? Also, wonderful job with the different instruments ^.^, I have only used the piano, because the other voices have been choppy, and I can't find where to download the other instrument voices. (If you could help me with that ^.^) Once again, beautiful work!

  • I'm not very sure about the difference between Linux and Windows since I've never used Linux before. Other instrument voice can be downloaded from the MuseScore handbook on it's webpage (look under 'SoundFont'). It takes time to find a suitable soundfont though (decent sounding but not taking up too much space)

  • awesome song, but just wondering, how do you get the sound from your musescore file onto a video? sorry i'm a total idiot at this sort of stuff haha

  • i recorded the playback using creative mediasource, then added in a picture and make it into a video using windows movie player.

using the pre-released version of musescore 9.5, you can directly export your musescore file in a wav form without needing to record it.

  • Great song! There is a new musescore prerelease out if you wish to test it. It has a fix for the soundfont wave export. Before you upgrade, make a backup of your musescore files!

  • The wave export works fine now! But is there anything I can do about the speed of the song (i.e. slow down/faster)? My songs are being exported at 100% speed, if you know what i mean.

  • I use the 'fluid soundfont' on window. It's link for download is available on the musescore website

  • Very nice! Which soundfont did you use? on windows or linux?
