@teddyleam95 Woh wait, really? That is amazing!!! ...
-
@seeli0nrun Yes, agreed. Barber did provide a metronome marking.
-
@kolbjl And I chose to go to Lawrence instead of St Olaf for a reason. :)
-
our All state Orchestra played it years ago and though I'm partial, I think they did a much better job. I'm not very impressed with this, but then again, I chose to go to St. Olaf University over Lawrence University for a reason.

I love drum corps and marching band as much as the next guy but really, calm down.
-
Really? because I have heard other orchestras play the same arrangement and it seems faster
-
@footballbeast5150 where you in the 2005 TMEA all state band?
-
@flugel76 I don't think it's slow at all. And I'm the biggest DCI nerd you would ever meet.
-
STAR 93 AND MY MARCHING BAND PLAYED IT SO MUCH BETTER ROTFLMFAO JK LOL!!!
Seriously, it's nice to finally hear it the way Barber wrote it.
first of all, it's not a song. second of all, you're playing an arrangement, not a version.

marching band geeks, stop freaking out. barber originally composed the dance of vengeance for orchestra and this tempo is definitely closer to what he intended than the hilarious band performances i've seen.
